Those Half Hearted Shits

I was feeling a bit angry. Angry at people with mood swings on the personal front. Who vacillate and vacillate so much that it kills my time energy and drains my emotions. I realized at one point that my energy, life and time is not an offering to be sacrificed at the altar of their mood swings and fancies. That is not how i want to live my life. So a bit in anger these lines came out. Not necessarily rhyming, they are just there.

start moving away from half hearted people.
they cannot love you
or even hate you properly.

they live half hearted lives
and die unfulfilled.
they destroy themselves
and cause misery
to the ones around them.

like daisey destroyed gatsby
and tom destroyed myrtle
they walk out of their comfy nests
or comfortable nests of despair
and destroy people and things.
with the innocence and carelessness
of a child that breaks his toys and cries.
only to break them again.

unshackle yourself from these people.
move away and reject such non-sense.
that’s all there is to be said on this.
